Yes, thrive by being gentle with yourself.
.How? Be kind instead of harsh when you feel frustrated or upsell with yourself.
here is a personal example: Live has been full of unexpected stress and worry. Gale has asthma, and taking her to the doctor wipes us both out for the entire day. She doesn’t like going in the carrier, so it takes coaxing and bribes to get her inside.
So it’s important for me to remind myself to be gentle with me – not beat myself up – for putting Gale through the trauma of going to the doctor to get her meds.
To make a long story short, my amazing girl will be on steroids indefinitely so she can breathe. Kitty inhalers are not an option – Gale is not the type of cat to wear a mask and breathe in her meds from a tube.
In spite of COVID-19 and all the other craziness going on in the US and around the world right now, I have a lot to be grateful and thankful for:
- Adopting Gale
- Creating new habits and learning new coping strategies
- Moving into thrive mode instead of survive or live mode this year
- Getting my business started
- Being healthy/My family being healthy
- Having a steady job, warm home, and food/water, etc.
- Keeping in touch with friends and loved ones
- All of you for visiting my site and social media
- The few small orders I’ve had come through this year
That is a short list of the many blessings that arrived this year.
One way I do this is by learning and applying 1 new affirmation a month. November’s is:
- Thrive by being gentle with yourself
Maybe it will help you too.
There is more to life than business and making money.
I started this business to provide other people with tools and resources that can help them thrive while making a living doing what I love: helping people.
Not to take advantage of big sales promotional weeks or holidays so I can earn a profit
Not to push people into spending money they might not have on something they don’t believe in or won’t use..
That is NOT how I want to start or continue running my business. So as much as I want you to buy my products, I am not going to push or advertise or create a new promotion right now.
Instead, I am going to say thank you for visiting and exploring my website and social media pages.
Thank you for taking time out of your busy lives to share a breath with me.
Thank you for being gentle with me as I choose to live and thrive according to my personal values instead of economic, social, or business values.
Thrive by being gentle with yourself (or yourselves) too.
I hope you all enjoy a safe and relaxing holiday weekend this week in your own unique and spacial ways.
Love and Rainbows,
